After "Dong Jia – an Exploratory Photographic Programme", Lumenvisum went on to organise "Dong Jia II", with a view to encourage participants to express their views and feelings about Hong Kong as their "home". The programme is in the form of a workshop. Over the past year, 20 people from different walks of life have gathered together every month to present their photographs, while workshop instructors facilitated group discussions. By sharing their experiences together, the participants were able to improve their expressions and enrich the themes of their works.

In the images displayed, we see familiar objects and scenes. There are the metamorphosis of the Central reclamation area, old shops in a vanishing industry, crowded commercial buildings, and contrasting new and old buildings. There are also "Hong Kong scenes" that make us smile, such as the street-side sun-dried salted fish, old chairs at a bus stop, and street graffiti. To the participants, photography is not just a record of reality or an expression of beauty. It guides them to observe what is happening around them, stimulates their thinking about social phenomena as well as local cultural and social problems, and allows them to express their thoughts and feelings. By capturing the existing environment of Hong Kong with their cameras, these photographers, with Hong Kong as their home, allow us to review this place familiar to each of us through a varied collection of images.
